Vahid began playing at a young age following his older brother’s footsteps and parents guidance. He has competed all around the world at the junior and professional level. Has played the French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open Men’s and Juniors. Had wins over Juan Martin Del Potro, Donald Young and played many great players such as Andy Murray and Gael Monfils.
Was number #1 in Country in Boys 14s and 16s. Finished #28 in World Boys 18s and Under. 2-Time National Hard Courts Doubles Champion.
After his stellar junior career, he went on to play at the collegiate level at Florida State University. While there he played at the top positions in both singles and doubles reaching high ranks of #21 and #7 respectively. In 2011, He received the National Arthur Ashe Sportsmanship and Leadership Award(given to one athlete in country) and became an All-American. He graduated with a degree in Hospitality Management and 3.5 GPA.
After turning professional in 2012, he played tournaments all over the world. He reached a career high of #169 in Doubles and had wins over the #2 ranked team in World in 2014.
He believes, “There is only one way to improve, and that’s train”
